tsin yiłkaałii …The Navajo Peoples word for woodpecker. Although not seen as often as some other animals in Native American Folklore, the woodpecker is an important spirit animal for many Native American tribes, especially tribes of the Western U.S. Many believe the feather of a woodpecker is an indication of one's self-discovery. Some of the West coast tribes believe the woodpecker is a medicine bird and as such the feathers are used to decorate ceremonial objects such as headdresses and other regalia. Woodpeckers are a symbol of good luck and they are also used as a clan crest in some tribes.
This woodpecker would be a great addition to any Southwest themed room or would be a great addition to the office or receptionist area.
Quality Craftsmanship
The woodpecker measures approximately 11 inches tall by 5 inches wide and is cut from 12 gauge hot rolled steel then painted with automotive grade paints & primers and finished with an automotive grade clear coat. Paints are UV protected.
